Hobby Lobby Corporate Campus consists of 5 buildings totaling over 4,700,000 square feet. With the recent deployment of a redundant single mode fiber backbone loop in all new construction, 10Gig transmission is possible throughout the campus.
We are in the process of replacing the antiquated 144 strand 62.5 multi-mode fiber in building 2 with 144 strand 10Gig single mode fiber. This particular project consists of 2 loops of 144 strand fiber totaling 10,000 feet. It loops in and out of 38 IDF’s forming a redundant fiber backbone system. All connections are pigtail spliced utilizing the Sumitomo Quantum Q101 core alignment fusion splicer.
